Bobby and I and what happened.  Chapter 10: Final Goodbye

Now Bobby’s remains are scattered among the graves in Kensal Green Cemetery. No one was there for the cremation except her probation officer. The social services cremated her and her remains were never collected by her family, although they kept them for a year. There was no record in the book of remembrance for her. It was if she had been discarded or as if she hadn’t existed at all. I sat among the ancient gravestones and I told Bobby that at last I understood and that I was sorry about everything. But although I didn’t understand at the time, Bobby, I said I really did love you. And at that point I decided to do something about it. The result is this web site dedicated to Bobby. This is what I wrote in the book of remembrance: Bobby was courageous, beautiful and kind-hearted, and always resolute in her belief in the feminine. Bobby will never be forgotten and will always be loved by Mair.    How I found out. 1
